Why Our Constitution is Failing Us

The U.S. Constitution is failing us. Or at the very least, the people we have empowered to "support and defend" the Constitution are failing us.

Look how the world view's the U.S.! The offending officer, a high ranking NYPD detective, lost 10 days of vacation pay for what would have been an aggravated assault case for you and I! If there are no penalties for the authorities when they violate our Constitutional Rights then, by definition, we HAVE NO CONSTITUTIONAL RIGHTS.

This man is a disgrace. Anybody can make a mistake, but he says he would do it again! Is ANYBODY out there comfortable with this miscreant walking around with a gun and a badge?

High ranking NYPD officials have experienced a LIFE TIME of being above the law. How do you expect them to react? Sources report that the offending officer was SURPRISED that this video went viral and that the world was appalled! This old bastard must still have a f***ing rotary phone at home. Everywhere you go, everything you do, is recorded. Not just you and I, but government agents, too.

These agents had gotten used to a lifetime of getting away with some nasty stuff. No more. My bet is this won't stand any more than the "you can't video tape police officers or other government officials doing their job" thing.

Dear Abusive Government:

We, The People, are watching YOU.

  1. There you said it - we have had the illusion of having rights, because these folks have been behaving this way for as long as I can remember. Only now are we able to pin them down, and they're wriggling like mad.
Twenty-five years ago, my wife caught a teenager siphoning gas out of our car. We held him for the police, and then found out he was the police chief's son. The paperwork got lost, and my wife was threatened with having our children taken away when she tried to press charges. At least today we'd have video evidence and it's harder to pull that slimy stuff.

  2. I think the government should be ashamed of themselves. They are making the people resent them more and more. They have no respect for anyone but themselves, and its rediculous. Why should they get special treatment? Their normal people just like all of us, but since they work for the "governent" they are treated better? What about the people that make the clothes they wear? What about the people that raise the food they eat? We don't get any thing handed to us like the government workers do. Their breaking the laws that they created and their just contradicting themselves. They need to realise that we are real people and that their bad chioces are affecting our lives dramatically.

  3. the government doesnt work very well. every crime, every consequence should be the same for everybody. it shouldnt be a major one for a normal citizen and a minor one for a high official, such as a governor. it should be the same for everybody or the government would never work.
