What Life Looks Like Without An Industrialized and Transactionalized Food Supply

I invested 38 minutes of my precious Life watching this personal documentary of a group of middle-aged to elderly Britts on holiday (click link to view), and it was worthy of my time. I imagine that these people worked many months in a modern occupation to pay for the privilege of working for a week or two as subsistence farmers. The irony is delicious, and the documentary is even more so (delicious, that is).

This village in Romania is what life looks like without grocery stores and automobiles. When grocery stores and automobiles do not exist in everyday life a great many other things simply cannot exist, because the focus of life becomes food production and meal preparation—and the growing and raising foodstuffs, preserving it, and then cooking it takes time. It also requires the cooperation of more than the few people that typically constitutes a nuclear family. You see, this endeavor requires the resources and talents of a large extended family. I know many people call this "community", but there are essentially no such communities acting so cooperatively in the historical literature on any significant intergenerational time frame other than clans or families.

Such clans or extended families require a continuous supply of children—or the family or clan disintegrates and then ceases to exist. In short, no children = no food in just a few short years, even if the equation is a bit more complicated in the short term. Living arrangements that do not have access to industrialized food products will, to my mind, almost always look something like this. The only exceptions will be hunter/fishing/gatherer tribes—all of whom function around an extended family or clan.

It would then follow that it was the industrialization, commercialization, and (worse the) financial transactionalization of our food supply that "freed" those people living in industrialized societies from having to produce and raise well-adjusted children and food (by enabling them with copious amounts of CO2 producing energy slaves! The inconsistency of certain political special interest groups boggles the mind.)

Freed them up to do what, exactly? To work 40+ hours in an office and to commute 10 hours for the privilege of being 75 lbs overweight and for the joys of watching TV. After all, the average American watches 5 hours and 4 minutes of TV each and every day. Well, given the data we certainly were not freed to accumulate wealth so that you could get off of this hamster wheel. All Americans, even those earning $500k per year, are hand to mouth. If working and commuting consume 10 hours, TV viewing consumes over 5 hours, and sleep consumes 8 hours, that leaves the working people living this lifestyle (the non-working spouses of these workers have a different viewpoint and experience—one that usually winds them up in divorce court) just 1 hour, Monday to Friday, to use the bathroom and shower, dress, exercise, cook, shop for groceries, etc. On the weekends we tend to fill in the time we spent on weekdays working and commuting in an effort to recuperate. The physical and emotional impacts on the individual are depressing to examine, but the fact remains that we are a nation of grossly overweight consumers of psychotropic medications (purportedly) created to help us cope with the nightmare we have constructed.

We do all that we do because we have mortgages, property taxes, homeowners insurance, student debt, and all of our necessities have been transactionalized. It costs money to flush the toilet— so we must earn money to pay for that flush. We have to pay money for everything we do or consume. And we must get that money from someone else.

So as it turns out, there were a great many costs to our well being that are not being acknowledged in the "industrialization has freed you from having to grow food and raise children" living arrangement. And that is OK—as long as you are aware of the devil's bargain you have made and that you entered into this trade with full knowledge to make an informed decision. But of course, you were not informed. You were conditioned.

This conditioning started early—in elementary school. It continued in the advertising you saw on TV, through the teachers, coaches, police officers, physicians, colleges, corporate and government workers in your life.

We see the result of this conditioning in disturbing events all around us. Our fellow man has been conditioned into being willing to touch children inappropriately as a TSA worker, to engage in traffic stops for petty violations as an armed government employee/police officer in order to extort money even though many innocent people wind up being shot, to sentence non-violent and non-property crime convicts to decades in prison, to raid homes for selling raw milk, or generally to seek the approval of government or corporate superiors rather than the approval of our own conscience.

NONE of this could have happened or would have happened without the convenience of the grocery store granting you your freedom from growing and raising your own food and your own children. Let that sink in for a moment.

And look... I am not suggesting mankind revert to subsistence lifestyles. What I am really getting at is that the costs of our luxuries and conveniences are often just not worth it—yet we never give that the consideration it deserves. No matter where you are or how much you have invested in this manner of living the costs to your physical and mental health and to your soul cannot be ignored.

We know that supporting and participating in this conditioning is wrong. We know a great deal of this is intrinsically evil and cannot be made right with minor adjustments or worse, empty admonishments (think Social Justice Warriors and Environmental Crusaders)—you know, the kinds of people who extol the virtues of the nation of Bhutan, ostensibly because Bhutan is supposed to be the happiest country in the world (I have no idea if that is true, but for the sake discussion let us stipulate that it is).

We don't have to move to Bhutan to be happy.  It would seem that the best course of action would be to study their manner of living to determine what it is about their lifestyle that results in that level of "happiness" or "contentment" and then employ those strategies and leave the moving boxes in the closet. Of course, the real reason people want to move is to flee from the destructive oppression and pressures of our culture.

Would it be worth deconstructing our lives to determine what it is that destroys our joy in Life and what would enhance our joy? Well, that would be nice wouldn't it? After all, we have the maturity, the emotional wherewithal, and the inclination—but it seems we just don't have the time.

We don't have the time? To truly live?

Crazy.

Imagine an algebra problem in reverse. You know, solving for X, but starting with the solution and working backward and complicating things as you go. Something like this:

X = 3

Pretty simple right?  (Could just as easily be:  Life = time allotted to us.)

Now, let's complicate our lives a bit. Let's add 30M (a 30-year mortgage) to both sides of the equation:

X + 30M = 3 + 30M

But that's not complicated enough. Let's heap lots of other stuff onto your Life:
Let's subtract 15H (hours per day for work and TV):

X + 30M - 15H = 3 + 30M - 15H

hmmm... not enough going on here. We need a more exciting and fulfilled Life.
Add $100,000 in student loans, $20,000 for property taxes, $8,000 for homeowners insurance...


X + 30M - 15H + 100,000L + 20,000P  + 8,000I = 3 + 30M - 15H + 100,000L + 20,000P  + 8,000I

And we have lots more to do! First, we need an expensive wedding and a materialist spouse, then a divorce and debilitating attornies fees, then the destruction of our health by sitting in front of a screen all day, while eating, for 20 years....

Now the equation of your Life look like this:

X + 30M - 15H + 100,000L + 20,000P  + 8,000I + Wedding - Divorce - Legal Fees - Health + Obesity = 3 + 30M - 15H + 100,000L + 20,000P  + 8,000I + Wedding - Divorce - Legal Fees - Health + Obesity

I could really complicate this equation in much the same way you have been conditioned to complicate your Life, but I am sure you have the idea...

You started out with:

X = 3

and at the end of your Life, you will be back to:

X = 3

Somehow our conditioning has convinced us that being obese, angry, childless (or one and done and divorced) while living in a state of frantic commotion in order to pay the bills will somehow yield immortality. There can be no other explanation. Since essentially all of us live hand to mouth we can't have been conditioned to achieve any manner of independence. We must be convinced that we benefit somehow from all of the negative outcomes I have listed. No sane person could possibly come to the conclusion that they were a mere mortal and yet spend their brief existence in this manner of living.

That leaves very few possible explanations: Either we are insane, or; we believe we are immortal. Which also means we are insane.

There can be no wonder or surprise that old people are so grumpy. Thinking they were going to live forever they put off LIVING until it was too late. Conditioning vs Mother Nature? Mother Nature always bats last.

The Immortals Among Us

The Immortals. 

“Never say die.” “Age is only a number.” “You have your whole life in front of you!” And my personal favorite: “50 is the new 30.”

Our cultural denial of our mortality is everywhere. We expend heroic efforts and resources on the elderly and terminally ill. We put off childbearing until our 30’s and 40’s as if it were uncommon for people in their 50’s to die—and shocked! Shocked I say!—when someone does just that, leaving young children without a mother or a father (and I say this as an older parent). We travel at high rates of speed wrapped in 2 tons of sheet metal and glass while texting. And why not? We can’t die! We are immortal!

And we are not merely immortal. We are forever youthful!!

Cosmetic surgery is nearly as common as hair dye, especially for women. There are no seasons in life! We are going to work at a wonderfully productive corporate career for at least 100 years! This belief, and the lack of provisioning this belief engenders, often requires competent people to re-enter "formal education" in midlife in order to “qualify” for another “job”! As if we will be bright eyed and bushy tailed as we hop out of bed in our 50’s or 60’s or even 70’s(!) for the long commute through rain and snow and cold to that joyful florescent-lit office/social network. Our “work family.”

When was the last time you read/saw/heard some great philosophy on aging in the media? Come on; other than here? Never. We wring our hands about how we are going to pay for “healthcare” for the elderly because when we deny our mortality, we cannot come to accept that there is no cure for old age. So we deny its existence.

This is a terrible evolution in our cultural thinking. WTH (H = heck) would the ancient Greeks think of us? What possible reason would one have to reflect if there was no end? And that’s just it. We DON’T reflect. We rage.

Every day I am confronted by rage-filled people—on the roads, in a check out line, and especially online. These very mortal human beings, all of whom will be pushing up daisies in the very near future—and the fortunate amongst them will have the high honor of watching everyone around them push up daisies first—are fuming mad. So why are they enraged?

Because Life is not fair.  

It doesn't seem to occur to them that death is perfectly fair—and that it will settle all scores—because we are Immortal! Death comes to you whether you are rich or poor, male or female, beautiful—or as plain as a tin pale. And once it comes we are no longer male or female, black or white, Christian, Jew, or Muslim. We are no more. We, and our sensibilities, no longer exist. We wasted the incredible moments of our existence unconcerned with Truth and Beauty and Liberty because we want life to be fair and we are willing to scorch the very earth, and in the process deny the beauty of our existence, in futile efforts to make it so.

It is not enough that we, as individuals, are angry; we want everyone around us to be angry, too. See an injustice amongst the 7.5 billion strangers sharing the world with us? Post it in on Facebook. Gather as much indignation as possible. Destroy another day of your beautiful existence with rage. After all, you are immortal—not limited to the 25,550 or so days of existence that Life, Truth, and Beauty apportioned to the rest of us.  You... are special!! 

“Share the Rage”, or perhaps “Feel the Rage”, could be catchy new slogans.

We are instructed by rage-filled special interest groups to seek control and position rather than passion and love (or sex) because there will always be plenty of time for passion! We are forever youthful!! We are immortal!! Pass the Viagra, hair dye, and Botox!

Who gave us this? Where did these ideas come from? These are the most self-destructive set of principles ever conceived of by man. So who did it? And why do so many us believe these evil people and their hate-filled lies?

It wasn’t the great religions. They loved scaring the people to death about death.

It wasn’t the great philosophers. The meaning of life in a world filled with death was their Raison d'être.

It wasn’t the great poets and authors. Their work is devoted almost exclusively to (trying to) understand love and passion in the face of death.

It wasn’t the great painters and sculptors all of whom worshiped the beauty of passion and desire and Life.

I will leave the rest to you.

For myself, mortal man that I am, I am going to enjoy this beautiful spring day and fill my head with all manner of lustful, passionate, pleasurable, and joyful thoughts as the Creator intended, for tomorrow never comes. And it will never come. That is what it means to be mortal.

To Life!

The Election Post Mortem

While the AFC party attempts to retry the presidential election the facts on the ground are that the House of Reps is the most responsive to the immediate will of the people and has the largest Repub representation in nearly 100 years. The Repubs control the Senate after a class 3 election. The Repubs "now controls 68 out of 98 partisan state legislative chambers -- the highest number in the history of the party. Republicans currently hold the governorship and both houses of the legislature in 23 states (24 if Sean Parnell wins re-election in Alaska), while Democrats have that level of control in only seven."
The "Wedge Issues" and "Triangulation Strategy" that James Carville and Dick Morris "perfected" in which they enraged certain segments of our society through propaganda and falsehood have backfired in ways that people who adhered to these have, so far, found impossible to comprehend. In fact they have clung to their anger and rage like the proverbial "guns and religion" of their inferiors.

The Tidal Wave washing through the University system - the last seat of power for the AFC Democrat party - cannot and will not be turned back. At the moment, and only for a moment longer, straight men who refuse to toe the line of forced political correctness are still not welcome on university campuses. This Milo Yiannopoulos fellow has found their soft underbelly and is joyfully skewering the beast.The effete weenies/feminine men and masculine women (not you Milo! You are my hero) running the show within the Social Studies Professoriate have some insulation due to tenure, but their days are short and numbered.
The MainStream Media, merely the better looking versions of the Social Studies professoriate, has been neutered by the Web. As it turns out, the American people are much smarter and far better chess players than the Media's elite. How much longer The People are going to be willing to pay thousands of dollars per year for cable's propaganda is difficult to say, as I don't watch TV or pay for cable. I would speculate that this bundling thing they have going on is a way to keep people that watch sports also watching cable news propaganda between sporting events, but those sports fans really surprised a number of people, now didn't they? I think that surprise came courtesy of the Web, FB, Youtube, Twitter, and the Blogsphere.
So now we are told that this election was won by racist, sexist, homophobes, especially "poorly educated white males", who are not sufficiently enlightened to be able to determine what their own ears are hearing and the own eyes are seeing when it comes to their enlightened self-interest. Somehow black males are never described as poorly educated, sexist, homophobic, or racist. Go figure. I pointed out to a friend of mine, a Harvard Alum, that those who have read Chaucer are not necessarily more "educated" than the people that read Chilton. Of course none of the elite have read Chilton. Mike Rowe quipped, and I am paraphrasing here, that the next time some talking head with absolutely no discernible skills calls those white males "uneducated" that these white males should tell them to fix their own car/roof/HVAC.
And what do these talking heads draw on to reach their conclusions? The polls. The same polls that said that Hillary beat Trump by 14% among women. The same polls that had Hillary up by double digits weeks before the election. The same polls that convinced the Democrats that they were "safe" in Michigan, Wisconsin, and Pennsylvania. And these talking heads actually believe this stuff. Well, they do say these things with a straight face... The Clinton campaign blamed their loss on "White Supremacists". After all, anyone that dares to disagree with them on any policy issue or has the temerity to challenge their propaganda is the lowest form of scum known to man. "Die, you racist PIGS!!!"
I think that the election was settled by men finally standing up for themselves and by American women who don't hate the men in their life. What would motivate a woman deep into middle age with an only son or sons to vote for Hillary Clinton? Think about that for a moment. A woman who in a few short years will be pushing up daisies wants to leave the world a better place for her "sisters" and a worse place for her sons? WHY? How filled and consumed by hate does one have to be to vote for an ideology that wishes to harm your only progeny? Ruth Bader Ginsburg once said - and I am paraphrasing again - that she was relieved that her daughter and grand daughter would have the ability to kill [Ginsburg's] granddaughters and great-grandaughters in utero if those children were inconvenient to her daughter and granddaughters.
And I am uneducated?

Sometimes I think I am the only normal person left. (AFC = Authoritarian, Feminist, Collectivist)

America is ANGRY - Here's Why

Watch any news program. Eavesdrop on any FaceBook political discussion. Watch regular people in public: Americans are angry, even furious. Walking time bombs. And it is no wonder. We, the American people, have been suffering under the relentless pounding of a withering barrage of insults and allegations from the MainStream Media of "wedge issues" created and promulgated by the Authoritarian, Feminist, and Collectivist Democrat party. These "issues" are not "real". They do not affect your day to day life. We cannot even remember the source of the things many of us seem to believe. ALL of these wedge issues are creations of the political strategists of the Democrat party.

The Democrats have been planting the seeds for Hillary Clinton's (now failed) presidential campaign since she was still First Lady back in the 1990's. They threw ethics, and morality, and human decency under the bus in their effort to instill anger and rage. Only they called it "raising awareness".

The Democrats have convinced a significant minority of Americans that women are actually paid less then men for the same work. Male school teachers, police officers, judges, stockbrokers, investment bankers, bakers, welders, fishermen, lumber-jacks, farmers, miners, waiters et al earn more money per unit of production/hour of work than their female counterparts. THAT is the allegation! And somehow a stunning percentage of Americans believe that. When asked to go line by line through the list of occupations at the U.S. Federal Government's Bureau of Labor Statistics and point out exactly in which occupations this is occurring those making this silly assertion move on to some other wedge issue that offends them. Damn you and your statistics! Everyone knows this is true! It is settled science (politics?)!!

The Democrats went on to convince the African American community that ALL African Americans were the victims of "White Privilege". Not "Establishment" privilege, mind you. And that this was true despite the personal history of the conduct and efforts of the individuals under discussion. You see, there were no individuals, only "African Americans". No one succeeded or failed because of their personal behavior, conduct, diction, effort, education, or motivation. They succeeded or failed because they were "Black" or "White" (or because they were Male or Female, but that has ben addressed above). The problem was that ALL "white men" - even coal miners, poultry plant workers, irrigation ditch diggers, and men banging nails with hammers up on roofs - were privileged characters. And ALL African Americans were members of an oppressed people - even President Barak Obama's children. Well, as a young man I dug irrigation ditches in the Florida sun and banged nails up on those roofs, among other unpleasant jobs, I can tell you with absolute certainty that I was not privileged. In fact, I was the only guy around willing to do it. (I needed the money.) African Americans were beyond reproach and not subject to individual examination.  African Americans are a singular group with universal traits (damn you!), not individuals, and only a racist would see them as individuals or question the Democrats and their narrative.

But that wedge issue was not the Authoritarian, Feminist, Collectivist Democrats' biggest manufactured lie/"wedge issue". The National College Campus Rape Crisis MYTH takes the cake for national disgrace by a political party.

The crime rate in the United States has been in a steep decline since the 70's and the per capita rate of sexual assault has been in free fall. But never mind the U.S. Department of Justice statistics! The professors of America's Women's Studies programs have the Truth (and more and better facts than the DOJ). After all, they have been watching Heterosexual pornography movies and tallying up the various sex acts taking place and have determined that men are evil and women are victims and we need to engage in systemic governmental censorship to protect women (you just can't make this stuff up).

But this time the Feminists did something really, really dangerous. The rules of logic state that the burden of proof lies with the party making the assertion. So, knowing that people would demand empirical evidence, the University Feminists arranged for "studies" - funded by the federal government no less - that set out - in advance - to prove a preconceived outcome of their biased agenda. Not to discover any Truth (or facts). When the women they interviewed declined to view their experience as that of a victim the interviewers then decided that the individuals were not competent enough to determine whether or not they had been assaulted. So the interviewers would make that determination for the women, unilaterally, based on some really bizarre criteria.

Every woman in America and every person self-identifying as "African American" has been the target of the largest, most advanced, and most improbable propaganda effort since Germany's experience in the 1930's.  Joseph Goebbels simply pales as a rank amateur when compared with the Feminists at the American University "Women's Studies" programs and their legions of "Agenda Editors". Sadly, every American woman and African American has been an unqualified victim of these Feminists. We can see it in the despair of Women in general, with 1/3 requiring anti-depressants at some point and another 11% (give or take) requiring anti-psychotics just to cope, to say nothing of the hopelessness and poor outcomes that plagues the African American community (and I HATE to lump people together like that as they are individuals and not a community, but I am speaking in "Liberalish" here).  The rage and hopelessness that these individuals have been infected with came to them courtesy of the Feminists running the Women's Studies programs and the various Radical Feminist organizations (read: groups of women that do not socialize with men). The MainStream Media was the sole disease vector.

After 20 years of this, few young and middle aged adults even remember what life was like before the epidemic of misery that we have all been subjected to. Many actually believe these infections to be some form of objective Truth despite overwhelming evidence to the contrary and the loss of the U.S. House of Representative, the U.S. Senate (and after a class 3 election cycle, no less), the White House, 31 Governorships, and 33 state legislatures!

But I do. I actually remember when American men and women liked each other. The current state of affairs is a national disgrace, and are the unintended consequences of the efforts of the Authoritarian, Feminist, Collectivist Democrats that has nearly brought our society to its knees and our government to the brink of war. The Democrats own that. I have no idea what the new administration will or will not do, but I am very, very confident that we have dodged a bullet - for now.

This is not the time to let up. We, the American People still in control of our faculties, must not allow the infected lunatics another opportunity at running the asylum. We do need viable opposition parties and a fair and independent press - but we don't have them now and we must not pretend that we do. Eight years from now the electorate will look very, very different. We desperately need that time to let the incorrigible fade away or die out. The young will mature, but the infected elders are beyond the reach of reason. The American people need the Democrat party to once again be a viable opposition party comprised of responsible adults that are not in the business of creating (wedge) issues. The reborn Democrat party will be comprised of responsible adults that are in the business of solving issues.

Dependence vs. Freedom

What if I told you that having "health insurance" does not increase your lifespan when compared to large groups of Americans that forego "health insurance"? If "health insurance" does not increase lifespan, which is very measurable, or healthspan (the time of life without chronic conditions), which is less measurable, what purpose does it serve?

If you are able to get past the idea that "health insurance" does not increase lifespan or healthspan you might argue that "health insurance" protects people from a medical bill that would "bankrupt" an unfortunate individual. But what if it is the existence of "health insurance" that inflates those medical bills? Of course, it is all much more complicated than that - but only at the margins (chronic and disabling conditions) and at the end of life. And those complications exist because of structural issues within our society. More on that soon.

There are over 500,000 Americans that do not have health insurance, do not want health insurance, and have an exemption from and do not have to participate in "Obamacare", Medicare, and Social Security. These are America's Amish, Mennonite, and Hutterite communities; the Plain People. Despite having no "health insurance" these groups have the same or better life expectancy as other Americans of Northwestern European heritage.

NO HEALTH INSURANCE. SAME LIFESPAN.

Their "healthspan" simply blows ours away, but that has to do with their active lifestyle and the absence of TV's influence on diet, family, and political beliefs.

Let's get back to the critical comparison. These people DO NOT participate in insurance of any fashion - no homeowners insurance, no life insurance, no health insurance, no disability insurance. If you really think about it, the average American labors under an oppressive burden in the form of the costs of "insurance". Oh, you might think you have it better than these people because in addition to those burdens you also have the benefit of air conditioning, refrigeration, etc... but this cost/benefit difference is not translating into discernibly different lifespans. The lifestyle differences are personal and subjective. The average wealth accumulation comparison is not.

While the average denizen of the rural American landscape is overweight, has few children, is medicated, uses tobacco, alcohol, and illicit drugs (and as far as I am concerned they have every right to live this way) and has essentially no savings and little net worth; the average Plain Person is fit, has many children, is not medicated, some use tobacco, most do not use alcohol or illicit drugs, and by 50 have accumulated enough assets to get them through their old age without eating dog food and get their many children started in this manner of living. While many are now starting to work "off farm", and I think that will create challenges for these communities in the future, the previous generation worked "on farm" in various capacities (there is not much farming to do in Winter and Summer) accumulating land, livestock, timberland, and productive capital goods (farming equipment, implements, and trade tools). While the average American facing retirement has $106,000 saved the average family in these Plain People communities have significantly greater assets/net worth and far fewer bills. They also remain relatively productive until they become infirm, at which point their strong families see to the needs of the elderly.  During their old age they typically move out of their home and the youngest son and his family take it over and buy out the other siblings, some of whom are a generation older than the youngest son is. A small cottage - often called a "dowdy house" - is built on the family land for the old folks. Heroic end of life treatments are not sought out. These people die at home, in the company of their family. Their funeral, complete with casket and burial, costs $500 or so.

Americans participating in the industrial/information/governmental economy must place their elderly, and their children, in the care of the State because they must spend 50, 60, even 70 hours per week commuting and working in order to pay for all of the insurance products that our system demands that we buy.

And despite the "lack of access" from being "uninsured" and living far from healthcare facilities and without a motor vehicles to drive back and forth to "medical care" and "medical treatment" there is no discernible difference in lifespan.

Why? How can that possibly be?

Simple. "Diagnostic services" are not necessarily curative and most do not improve health or increase lifespan. In fact, there is plenty of evidence that the belief in the value of those services removes incentive to engage in healthy and productive behaviors. Knowing what it is that is going to end your life or destroy your quality of life does not seem to change the outcome or our  lifespan. In fact, there is no "seem" about it. There is no evidence that these incredible interventions do anything to extend lifespan across the entire American population. The tremendous gains in lifespan during the 20th and 21st centuries are almost entirely attributable to vaccines, antibiotics, nutrition, sanitation/hygiene, and improved surgical techniques. And most of that does not cost very much. Yes, we are much better at treating trauma, and it is a good thing, too, because our industrial goods - particularly automobiles - inflict an enormous amount of trauma injuries onto the population and roughly 2% of us will meet our destiny in an automobile crash.

Is there some other conclusion that can be drawn from the fact that life expectancies are the same for the 500,000 Plain People that eschew health insurance and the typical American who has health insurance? Isn't 500,000 people a large enough sample? The amount of unnecessary "treatment" or "care" generated in order to consume 18% of American GDP, twice the level of the rest of the industrial world's GDP/healthcare spending, to wind up at the exact same place must simply be seen for what it is - a never ending series of human experiments that enrich people working in one industry at the expense of the health, wellbeing, and financial security of everybody else.

The answer is not "health insurance". The answer is to let The People operate in a Free Market of liberty and enlightened self-interest. People will make intelligent decisions and calculations regarding the cost/benefit of personal healthcare spending. The result will be less oppressive healthcare costs and a population that is rewarded with greater freedom and autonomy. And maybe a longer "healthspan" even if there is no material improvement in lifespan.

The Democrats are not Inclusive when it comes to Marriage and Family

The Democrats being interviewed across the Web cannot get through a sentence without hurling accusations of Racism and Sexism at anyone and everyone outside of their camp. So, I undertook a study of the White Male Members of the 114th Congress (Congress and Senate) and the Cabinet members of the Clinton, Bush, and Obama administrations.

I was unable to find a single example of a White Male Democrat that was married to a Black Female. I am not willing to say that I am absolutely certain about every single political spouse's racial background, but I spent a enough time looking at smiling family pictures that I feel reasonably confident that my conclusion is correct. If there is an example I have missed, please comment below and I will make the necessary correction.

I did find a White Male/Black female interracial marriage in an elected and appointed official. William Cohen, a Republican Senator from Maine and the Secretary of Defense in the Clinton Administration is married to an African-American. I found no other examples of Republican White Males married to Black Females. Once again, I cannot state 100% confidence in the data. Perhaps 99.5%. If there is an example I have missed, please comment below and I will make the necessary correction.

People tend to marry people in their social orbit that they consider their equals in attractiveness and socio/economic status with men tilting towards the former and women toward the latter. Clearly, the White Men at the top of the Democrat party either do not have Black Women in their social orbit, and/or they do not consider them attractive or of sufficient socio/economic status, but since men are less interested in socio/economic status... In short, by their OWN definition the upper strata White Men of the Democrat party appear to be racists and definitely are zeros by the "Inclusivity" measure.

People talk a great deal about race and racism but I think the best measure of their true sense of this is who they date and marry, and who they have children with. There is certainly a lot going on here. Maybe people are hard wired to prefer people that look like they do - though the rate of White Male/Asian Female marriage/dating is so high that that assertion just does not hold up to scrutiny.

Of course, marriage itself is the perusal of the upper strata of our society. Poor people in general and African Americans in particular marry at much lower rates than the affluent and European Americans do.

One politically correct Liberal on my FB list asserted that African American women simply don't want to marry European American men, and cited as evidence that only 5% of that demographic marries someone of a different race. That assertion does not make sense to me. In fact, that assertion seems to say that European Men are interested in marrying African American Women but those African American Women are rebuffing the European American Men that have been pursuing them. Wouldn't those in the lower socio/economic strata want to "marry up"? Especially women? Especially to Liberal Democrat Men? After all, those men, according to our media, are far more educated, cultured, and enlightened than the Troglodytes that voted for Trump. Why would African American Women refuse to marry into that?

Of course, that is just plain silly. It is just too painful for people in the Democrat camp to examine this honestly. Racism will only end when America stops this separate but equal nonsense of multiculturalism. A common people with a common sense of values and a common set of expectations from our countrymen will be more accepting of each other - and more likely to marry each other. Do we expect men to marry the mothers of their children and that these couples will work together to raise their families with an eye to the future? Or is marriage a commitment for women only until the first moment they are unsatisfied, at which point they may extort and enslave men while generously allowing the father to see his own children every other weekend? Or are we to end marriage and the family, Iceland style, with lots of baby-daddies with the State as father/provider? No need to compromise! The State will be happy to use violence on fathers at the behest of mothers.

The sad current state of affairs is a creation of the very people that refuse to socialize and marry outside of their race and religion, but need the votes of those they refuse to associate with in order to remain relevant.

That is madness.

FBI Had Abedin/Clinton Email all along in their New York Office?

It is now being reported, but not confirmed by the FBI or any other government official that the Abedin/Weiner laptop with "10's of thousands" of Clinton/State Department emails has been in the possession of the New York office of the FBI for several months.

And no one in the New York FBI office noticed them? On the laptop of the husband of the top aid to the presidential candidate immersed in an email scandal?

I am running out of ways to express my exasperation and indignation.

Sec. Clinton is now DEMANDING that the FBI release all of the information/emails?

Dear Mrs. Clinton. Your disingenuous plea to have evidence in a criminal investigation released is completely unnecessary. Mrs. Clinton, nothing is preventing you and Mrs. Weiner from holding a press conference and telling the American people exactly WHAT we will find on that computer!!! Those are YOUR (or Mrs. Weiner's) emails! Why are you asking the FBI? Because you want to look transparent. If you want to actually BE transparent all you need do is call that press conference. Then we can compare what you said to what the FBI finds.
